Paragliding Courses:
Introductory Course 1 Day

The best way to experience paragliding

Fly solo from a small training hill or fly a tandem from a 1500ft mountain!

Minimum group size: Two

Cost: $225 per person (plus $10 Hang Gliding Federation of Australia training membership)

Optional video footage of days activities is available. This is presented on a DVD and is an extra $30.

A typical one day course would go as follows:

• 9am: Meet at the Active Flight Paragliding office (unless alternate arrangements are made) for administration and equipment familiarisation
• 10am: Travel to training site (approxiametly 10 minutes drive)
• Learn how to inflate, control and land a paraglider (generally referred to as ground handling)
• 1pm: Break for lunch
• Depending on weather conditions and group preferance, the afternoon will consist of a couple of small flights from a 100ft training hill or a tandem flight with an Instructor. During the tandem paraglide the students will be flying the paraglider.
• Flight debrief and issuance of flight certificate.

2 Day Course

Cost $450 (plus $10 Hang Gliding Federation of Australia training membership)

The 2 day course takes us to the next level. “Solo Flight”.
The first day is the same as the 1 day course. On day two we conduct solo flights ranging from 300 to 500m. “The ultimate thrill!”
